The Daily Reset: January 22nd, 2020
Welcome to The Daily Reset. A chill article series where I try and bring y’all the biggest headlines for the day, at the end of the day, so you can wind down and enjoy a relaxing night while keeping up-to-date on what’s going on in the games industry.
Okay.

Valve’s AMA on Reddit dispels any delay rumors.
Game developer Valve is set to release its newest installment in the Half-Life series, Half-Life: Alyx, in March 2020. The developer held an AMA on Reddit and assured players that the game is already complete, and that they should be expecting the game to meet its release date. The official account wrote:
“With the exception of some tweaks to the absolute final scene, the game is done. Lots of us at Valve, as well as playtesters, have played through the entire game multiple times.”
Half-Life 2 was released back in 2004, and players have been thirsting over a new entry ever since. The new VR experience will be sure to draw in players both familiar and new to this historic franchise.
Xbox Series X photos give us an amazing look at the hardware
A user by the name Curry Panda posted several photos of the Series X to NeoGAF which very quickly found their way onto twitter. The ports of the system were clearly dispayed and included: two USB-A ports, an Ethernet port, a single HDMI Out port (with no HDMI In port in sight), the power connection, and an optical audio port.
Polygon reached out for comment, and a Microsoft spokesperson replied:
“We’re excited to share more details on Xbox Series X, which will be our fastest, most powerful console and set a new bar for console performance, speed and compatibility. However, we have nothing to announce at this time.”
I wonder is the PS5 will have an HDMI In port…
That’s it. Catch you tomorrow, peace.
